The Mountain West Network powered by Campus Insiders will live stream all 10 MW women’s basketball games this week.

Colorado State sits atop the Mountain West standings at 13-2. Boise State is currently in second at 10-4. Fresno State and Nevada are tied for third at 10-5. The MW’s 11 teams will play 18 intra-league games to determine a regular-season champion and seeding for the 2014 Reese’s Mountain West Women’s Basketball Championship, March 10-15, at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas.

Colorado State (21-5) has won 17 of its last 19 games, making for the program’s biggest one-year turnaround and its best start in 15 years. A 71-51 win at Boise State on Feb. 18 is the most wins ever for CSU in Mountain West action (13).

Utah State senior Jennifer Schlott set two MW single season records last week. On Feb. 15, the Aggie guard broke the Conference-only scoring record of 327 set by Utah’s Kim Smith in 2005-06, a 16-game season. Schlott has 391 points in MW play with two weeks left in the season. Schlott followed up on Feb. 22 by establishing a new overall scoring record with a current total of 664. The previous record of 655 was also set by Smith in 2005-06.

Utah State senior Jennifer Schlott has been named a finalist for the Nancy Lieberman Award. The award honors the top point guard in the nation and is presented by the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame. Schlott leads the Mountain West with 25.5 points and 6.0 assists per game.

Fresno State senior Taylor Thompson became the first Bulldog to record 300 steals in a career on Feb. 22 and also moved into third place on the career assists list with 452.

Fresno State head coach Raegan Pebley earned her 150th career win on Feb. 22 with a 72-70 victory against the Utah State team that she coached for nine season before taking over the Bulldog program in 2012.

San José State junior Rebecca Woodberry set the Spartans’ single season record for three-point field goals made on Feb. 19 with 75, passing Kari Steele’s record of 74 set in 1996-97.

In the 90th meeting of the Colorado State-Wyoming Border War, Cowgirl sophomore Marquelle Dent scored a career-high 28 points for the 75-49 Wyoming win.

Utah State guard Jennifer Schlott and Colorado State guard Caitlyn Duffy were named to the Capital One® Academic All-District team on Jan. 30. Schlott, representing District VIII, is a senior marketing major carrying a 3.48 grade point average, while Duffy, on the District VII squad, is a sophomore biological science major with a 3.72 gpa.
