The Mountain West Network powered by Campus Insiders will feature five games this week, including nationally-ranked Stanford at Fresno State on Saturday, Dec. 28.

Mountain West teams play seven non-conference games before Conference play begins on Wednesday, Jan. 1, 2014.

Boise State features one of the youngest starting lineups in the country with three sophomores (Miquelle Askew, Lexie Der, Kieahnna Engel) and two freshmen (Yaiza Rodriguez, Brooke Pahukoa). Junior Deanna Weaver, a transfer from Oregon, becomes eligible after the Fall semester.

Air Force’s Jimi Blagowsky was named to the Hampton Inn Oceanfront Holiday Classic all-tournament team for her performances against host North Florida and Eastern Illinois. UNLV’s Danielle Miller was named to the Duel in the Desert all-tournament team for her performances against Clemson, Oregon State and Creighton.

Wyoming junior Kayla Woodward needs just 11 points to reach the 1,000-point career mark. She currently has 989 points as a Cowgirl. The MW Preseason Player of the Year has reached double figures in all 11 games for the Cowgirls for the season and in 55 over her career at Wyoming.

New Mexico senior Sara Halasz has been named an official nominee for the Allstate Good Works Team ® by the Women’s Basketball Coaches of America (WBCA). Halasz is one of only 84 NCAA Division I women’s basketball athletes to be named a candidate for the award. The Good Works Team ® honors college basketball players who represent good teamwork, community service and leadership.

UNLV became the 50th team in NCAA Division I women’s basketball history to record 700 victories all-time as a program. In their 40th season, the Lady Rebels are 700-443 all-time after a 63-54 win over Clemson on Dec. 19.
