Day 3 Recap: MW at 2014 NCAA Women's Swimming & Diving Championships

NCAA Women's Swimming & Diving Championship Central

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. – Mountain West student-athletes earned two honorable mention All-America awards on the third and final day of the 2014 NCAA Women’s Swimming & Diving Championship at the Minnesota Aquatics Center in Minneapolis.

 

San Diego State freshman Anika Apostalon earned her third All-America finish of the meet with a 15th-place finish in the 100-yard freestyle. Apostalon swam a 48.26 to qualify for the consolation finals and a 48.44 in the evening session. Fresno State senior diver Hannah Prigge placed 13th in the platform dive consolation finals with a score of 276.60. Prigge scored a 303.20 in the prelims to advance to the consols.

 

SDSU was the top scoring team among MW competitors with 28 points in a tied for 27th place.  UNLV scored six points, followed by Fresno State with four and Nevada with one.
