Four Mountain West Student-Athletes Earn 2013 AVCA All-America Honors

Four Mountain West volleyball student-athletes were named to the 2013 American Volleyball Coaches Association All-America Team today.  Two-time All-Mountain West honoree Chantale Riddle, a junior right-side hitter from New Mexico, was named to the AVCA All-America Third Team. Colorado State teammates Adrianna Culbert (So., OPP), Deedra Foss (Jr., S) and Samantha Peters (Sr., MB) received Honorable Mention.

It is the second season in a row that Riddle has received AVCA recognition, earning honorable mention in 2012. She is the second Lobo to repeat as an AVCA honoree (Pauline Manser, 1990-91) and the 11th to be named to the team.

Culbert, Foss and Peters bring the number of Rams to 31 who have received AVCA All-America honors. It is the first year for all three student-athletes to be recognized and the seventh consecutive season that CSU has placed multiple players on the team.

This marks the 10th consecutive season that the Mountain West has had four or more student-athletes recognized with All-America honors.  Since 1999, 62 MW student-athletes have garnered All-America status.
