LAS VEGAS - The Royal Purple Las Vegas Bowl has announced that the 2015 game will be played Saturday, Dec. 19, at 12:30 p.m. PT (3:30 p.m. ET) at Sam Boyd Stadium. The 24th Royal Purple Las Vegas Bowl will be televised nationally on ABC, featuring the top choice from the Mountain West or BYU against the sixth pick from the Pac-12 Conference.
Tickets went on sale to the general public today. Prices, depending on location, are $25, $35, $45, $65, $75 and $110 but will increase by $10 each on December 1. Visit www.lvbowl.com to purchase your tickets.
This will mark the third consecutive year and fourth time overall that the Royal Purple Las Vegas Bowl will appear on ABC. It will be the fourth consecutive Saturday kickoff and ninth in the event's history. It will also be the bowl's ninth day game.
"Our teams and fans all love going early in the day when we play on a Saturday so we are thrilled that the calendar worked out again for that this year," said RPLVB Executive Director John Saccenti. "We have enjoyed fantastic weather the last three years with the 12:30 p.m. start time and we are excited to help kick off bowl season again this December from the Entertainment Capital of the World."
Last year's edition saw No. 22 Utah defeat Colorado State 45-10 in front of a crowd of 33,067, which marked the 10th-consecutive year that the game drew at least 33,000 fans.
