Day One in the Books at NCAAs For TCU's Rasch

AUBURN, Ala. – TCU junior Sabine Rasch completed her first day of competition Thursday at the NCAA Women’s Swimming and Diving Championship inside the James Martin Aquatics Center.

Rasch clocked a 22.61 in the 50-free prelims to finish in a tie for 31st overall in the 67-woman field. The mark is just off Rasch’s personal best time of 22.54, which is the TCU all-time benchmark for the event.

The top 16 swimmers in the preliminary competition advanced to the evening finals and earned All-America honors.

Rasch is the TCU record holder in the 50-free, 100-free, 200-free and 100-fly. The Luckenwalde, Germany, native is scheduled to compete in the 100-free Saturday, the final day of competition at the NCAA meet.
