Nevada Bested by UC Davis

DAVIS, Calif. – The University of Nevada swimming and diving team fell 178-117 to UC Davis in a dual meet on Friday.

The Wolf Pack is now 3-2 in dual meets in 2012-13 with the loss, while the Aggies are now 4-2.

Nevada’s best showing came in the 200-yard IM, where the Pack took the top four spots late in the event and Chavisa Thaveesupsoonthorn won at 2:06.82. Mengjiao “Jojo” Mi earned an individual win in the 1,000-yard freestyle, coming in at 10:06.90.

UC Davis won the 200-yard medley relay to open the event, but the Pack came back with a win in the last race of the day, the 400-yard freestyle relay.

On the diving board, Nevada took first, second and third in both the one-meter and three-meter boards.Grace Huang won the one-meter event with a score of 302.25, while her teammate Stephanie Hansen took the three-meter event at 336.75.

Nevada will return to Reno to close out the Fall against Cal State East Bay on November 30 at 2 p.m. The event will be held at the Lombardi Pool.
