TUCSON, Ariz. - San Diego State junior Anna Steiner turned in a fourth-place finish in the championship finals of the 3-meter competition at the prestigious wildcat Diving Invitational being hosted by the University of Arizona in Tucson this weekend.

Steiner's score of 299.30 was less than two points from third place as Arizona State's Morgan Weller won the event with a mark of 313.90. With her final point total, Steiner again qualified for next March's Zone Diving Meet in Colorado Springs. The Aztec junior had finished eighth in the prelims (265.5), but improved four places by the time the final round concluded.

The Aztecs had three other divers competing on the three-meter board as well. That trio included freshmen Ashley Stott (31st - 210.20), Kelsey Bean (34th - 203.00) and Chandler Marshall (42nd - 179.15).

Marshall was the Aztecs' top finisher in Saturday's one-meter springboard as she finished 18th in a field that included some 50 divers.

The Wildcat Diving Invitational concludes Sunday morning with the platform competition set to get underway at 10:30 a.m.
