Rebels Return To Dual Meet Action

LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) -
After swimming in a pair of invitationals, the UNLV men's and women's swimming and diving teams will swim in their first dual meet competition since Nov. 10 this weekend, on Saturday afternoon at 12 pm at CSU Bakersfield. UNLV will also face the Fresno State women's team in a dual meet at Bakersfield.

All About The Rebels
The UNLV men, 3-1 on the year, are ranked No. 23 in the most recent CSCAA poll. UNLV's women are 1-4. In the most recent competition for the teams, the men placed second and the women third in the UNLV Winter Invitational, held on Dec. 15-17. The Rebel men hold 11 of the fastest times in the MPSF, while the women are ranked first in four events and four relays in the Mountain West.
Scouting CSU Bakersfield
The Roadrunners, 4-1 on the men's side and 3-1 on the women's, will be holding its final men's home dual meet of the season when it faces the Rebels. The women meanwhile will be swimming Northern Colorado and San Jose State the day before the meet against UNLV.
Scouting Fresno State
The Bulldogs, in their first year as a Mountain West member, are 1-2 on the year, with both losses to other conference schools. FSU dropped a 154-141 meet at home to Nevada, Reno on Oct. 27, and a 133-128 contest at San Diego State on Dec. 1.
Next Time Out
UNLV will have a two-week break before hosting UC Santa Barbara on Saturday, Jan. 19 at 10 am in Buchanan Natatorium.
