Swimmers Earn CSCAA Team Scholar All-America Award

SAN DIEGO, Calif. - The 2012-13 San Diego State Aztec swimming and diving squad has earned the Team Scholar All-American Award for fall 2012 presented by the College Swimming Coaches Association of America for excellence in the classroom. It marks the second straight semester that the team has garnered the honor.
The Team Scholar All American award is presented to college and university swimming and diving teams, who have achieved a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher. The award is presented to teams achieving this standard in the fall semester and in the semester of the NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships (Winter/Spring).
The Aztecs qualified for the CSCAA honor by compiling a 3.28 team GPA for the fall semester.
In the pool the Aztec compiled a record of 10-1 in dual meets during the 2012-13 season and won the Mountain West Championship for the second time in three years.
