Huang Looks For Spot at NCAA's

RENO, Nev. – University of Nevada diver En Tien Huang will compete at the Zone E Championships beginning on Wednesday, fighting for a spot at next week’s NCAA Championships.
The event will begin at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, in the Cadet Natatorium at the U.S. Air Force Academy, with the one-meter prelims. The three-meter dive and platform dive will be Thursday and Friday, respectively, and will also begin at 11 a.m. The finals of each event are currently slated to begin at 1:45 p.m.
The top nine women in each event will qualify to dive at the NCAA Championships, which will be held from March 21-23 in Indianapolis, Ind. at the IU Natatorium on the campus of the University of Indiana. IUPUI and the Indiana Sports Corporation will be the co-hosts of the event.
Last season, Huang finished ninth in Zone E, which was one spot out of the NCAA’s. With more women posting qualifying scores in Zone E this season, the total number of entrants will go up to nine. The Nevada junior was All-Mountain West in each discipline this season. At the Mountain West Championships, she finished eighth in the one-meter at 269.94, first in the three-meter at 339.30 and third in the platform event at 252.63.
