Day 1 Recap: Mountain West at 2013 NCAA Women's Swimming & Diving Championships

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - The Mountain West sent its largest contingent of competitors to the 2013 NCAA Women's Swimming & Diving Championship at the IU Natatorium and IUPUI Sports Complex in Indianapolis, Ind. Thirteen swimmers and two divers are scheduled to compete in 20 of the 21 events from March 21-23.

Competition began on Thursday morning with the preliminary heats for the 200-yard freestyle relay, 500-yard freestyle, 200 individual medley, 50 freestyle, 400 medley relay and one-meter diving. The San Diego State 400-yard medley relay advanced to the `B' final on Thursday night with a time of 3:36.15 and placed 16th in the `B' final with a time of 3:36.16. UNLV was the second alternate for the event.
