School-record Tying Rebels Named MW Scholar-Athlete

LAS VEGAS, Nev. (UNLVRebels.com) -- UNLV placed 20 members of the women's swimming and diving team on the 2013 Spring Academic All-Mountain West Conference team, while a school record-tying 12 Rebels were named MWC Scholar-Athletes. Four members of the UNLV men's swim team were also named as MW Scholar-Athletes.

To be eligible for selection to the Academic All-MWC team, student-athletes must have completed at least one academic term at the school while maintaining a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or better, and be a starter or significant contributor on their team. To be eligible for selection as a MWC Scholar-Athlete, student-athletes must have completed at least two academic terms at the member institution, while maintaining a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or better, and have participated in varsity competition for their athletic team.
