Swimmers Earn CSCAA Team All-America Award

SAN DIEGO - The 2011-12 San Diego State Aztec swimming and diving squad has earned the Team Scholar All-American award presented by the College Swimming Coaches Association of America for excellence in the classroom.

The Team Scholar All American award is presented to college and university swimming and diving teams, who have achieved a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher. The award is presented to teams achieving this standard in the fall semester and in the semester of the NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships (Winter/Spring).

The team qualified for the CSCAA honor by compiling a 3.019 GPA for the spring semester.

In the pool the Aztec compiled a record of 16-0 in dual meets during the 2011-12 season as they completed their second consecutive undefeated season. SDSU sent a pair of divers to the 2012 NCAA Championships and five swimmers qualified for this year's Olympic Trials.
