LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) - The UNLV track & field program got a fourth-place finish from its 4x800m relay at the Texas Relays in Austin on Thursday. The quartet of Corey Honeycutt, Laura Affeld, Auzsane Crowe-Carter and Kelsey Williamson clocked a time of 8:58.42, which is the second fastest on the program's performance list.

Three of the relay members also raced as individuals in two other races contested at Myers Stadium. Both Honeycutt and Crowe-Carter placed 13th (4:40.19) and 14th (4:40.25), respectively, in the 1500m while Affeld was 66th (1:05.46) in the 400m hurdles.

Amanda Bingson, a former Rebel and US Olympian, claimed the women's hammer throw title with a Myers Stadium and meet record throw of 236-9 (72.16m). The distance also ranks as the fifth furthest thrown by an American female.
