Mt. SAC Relays Results | Beach Track & Field Invitational Results

LONG BEACH, Calif. – The Colorado State track & field team wrapped up its busy weekend with the Beach Track & Field Invitational Saturday, hosted by Long Beach State. Trevor Brown also participated at the third day of the Mt. SAC Relays Saturday.

Brown broke his own Colorado State school record in the men’s 110-meter hurdles, crossing the finish line in 13.65 seconds for second place.

At the Beach Invitational, sophomore Andrew Goodman finished the men’s steeplechase in 8:54.64 to break the meet record by over four seconds. “Goodman was the highlight of Long Beach,” said Colorado State head coach Brian Bedard. In the men’s 1,500-meter run, Spenser Lynass placed 19th while Alex Muntefering took 29th in a field of over 100 athletes. Lynass finished in 3:54.15, while Muntefering finished in 3:55.95. In the men’s 800-meter run, Seth Butler took 45th with a time of 1:55.04.

On the women’s side of the distance events, Kaitlin Hanenburg placed second in the women’s 3000-meter steeplechase with a time of 10:35.09.

Sam Little participated in the men’s 400-meter hurdles, taking 15th with a time of 14.76. He also placed 10th in the 400-meter hurdles, finishing in a time of 53.84. Stephanie Gerber competed in the same event on the women’s side, clocking in at 1:00.68.

Kiah Hicks won the women’s discus throw in Long Beach, setting a new personal record of 179 feet, 2.75 inches. Tyler Schultz placed third in the men’s shot put, setting a new outdoor personal best of 57-2.25. Elizabeth Johnson posted yet another solid mark in the women’s shot put, tossing 48-9.75 for fourth place.

Graham Gilliland posted a mark of 22-10 in the men’s long jump, taking 14th. He leapt 46-8.25 in the triple jump, taking 13th. On the women’s side of the triple jump, Ashley Reid won the event with a very impressive mark of 40-3.5. Cheyenne Hall placed 23rd, jumping 36-9.25. Jazmyn Webster placed fifth in the high jump, posting a mark of 5-6.5. She also participated in the long jump, placing 19th with a jump of 17-9.75.

At the time of Friday’s release, a number of Friday’s events had not yet been completed at the Mt. SAC Relays. Alex Muntefering and Spenser Lynass performed well in the men’s 5,000-meter run in Walnut, with Muntefering crossing the finish line in 14:22.22 and Lynass clocking in at 14:24.28. They took 14th and 16th places, respectively.

Whitney Henderson competed in her first-ever 5,000-meter run on the track Friday at Mt. SAC, almost winning the event with an extremely impressive time of 16:38.78. She finished in second place. Lindsey Keller finished in 14.33 seconds in the women’s 110-meter hurdles. In the women’s discus throw, Kiah Hicks threw 162-11 while Jessica Sharbono tossed 150-9.

The Rams will next participate at home as the Glenn Morris Multi-Event portion of the Jack Christiansen Invite begins Thursday in Fort Collins, Colo., at the Jack Christiansen Track. The multi-events wrap up Friday, while the Jack Christiansen Invite continues on Friday and Saturday.
