WALNUT, Calif. - Highlighted by junior Cale Simmons matching his Academy record clearance in the pole vault, members of the Air Force track and field team concluded competition at the prestigious Mt. SAC Relays in Walnut, Calif., on Saturday, April 21.

Competing in the 16-member "Elite" level pole vault competition at Hilmer Lodge Stadium, Simmons was the top collegiate finisher and placed fourth overall with a career-best matching height of 18'0½". It is the second time during the outdoor season that Simmons has cleared the 18-foot bar, matching the program standard mark that he first cleared on March 31.
