This year's trip to Flagstaff marks the fifth time in the last six years that the Rebels have begun their indoor campaign at an NAU-hosted meet.

Competition begins at 10:00 am on both the track and the field. The women's mile run kicks off the track events, while the women's pole vault starts the field's action.

"We are excited to finally open up and see what these young ladies are about at the start of this indoor season," said head coach Yvonne Wade. "Although we are training through these early meets, it is a good opportunity to see where we are."

The Scarlet & Gray will be led by seven student-athletes - Emily Blok, Kelsey Williamson, Secoral Yanez, Laura Affeld, Myshauna Alexander, Uchechi Anunkor and Erin Morris - that earned recognition by the Mountain West as either an individual or as a member of a relay team during the 2012 indoor and outdoor seasons.

Blok, Williamson and Yanez are three of the four members of the 4x400m relay thart finished first in the event at the 2012 MW Indoor Track & Field Championships. Individually, Williamson claimed the title in the 800m, while Blok finished second in both the 60m and 200m races. Affeld is the only returner from the distance medley relay team that finished second.
