Feb. 21, 2012

FORT COLLINS, Colo. - Colorado State sophomore Trevor Brown has been named the Mountain West indoor track and field Athlete of the Week, the conference announced Tuesday.

Brown, a Colorado Springs, Colo., product set a new Mountain West all-time record in the men's 60-meter hurdles at the Mines Twilight last weekend in Golden, Colo. He earned first-place honors in the event by clocking a personal-best time of 7.86 seconds. That mark is not only a Mountain West record, but also ranks first in CSU history. Brown is the defending MW indoor champion in the 60-meter hurdles after winning the event in 7.91 seconds at the 2011 Mountain West Indoor Track and Field Championships.
