Complete List of Selections

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — 23 University of New Mexico track and field athletes were selected to the Mountain West Indoor Track & Field All-Conference men's and women's teams on Monday. All-MW selections are awarded to the top three finishers in each event at last weekend's MW Indoor Championships.

The Lobos, who received a conference title from the men and a runner-up finish from the women, combined to tie the most All-MW selections in program history. For the men, 10 individuals and a relay team claimed 15 total honors, while six women and a relay team scored eight total selections.

Leading the group of recipients for the New Mexico men were the six individual championships.

Champions Luke Caldwell (mile, 3000, 5000), Kendall Spencer (long jump, 60) and Floyd Ross (triple jump, long jump) all collected multiple honors for their performances, and Alex Herring (800-meter run), Django Lovett (high jump) and Richard York (heptathlon) also nabbed All-MW plaudits.

Caldwell was the only male athlete to earn three individual all-conference selections this year (not counting relay-team selections), while Spencer and Ross were in a group of just seven athletes (including Caldwell) to net multiple individual All-MW honors.

Also named were Gabe Aragon (4x400), Sam Evans (mile), Ridge Jones (60), Chris Kline (4x400), Charles Lewis (400, 4x400), Derek Montoya (4x400) and Logan Pflibsen (pole vault).

The 15 All-MW selections garnered by the men are also a program record, besting the previous high of 12 selections registered last year.

On the women's side, Josephine Moultrie's two victories led the women to eight all-conference honors.

Moultrie was recognized in the 800 and mile, and was one of eight women in the conference to receive two individual All-MW selections.

Also receiving selections were Julie Brasher (distance medley relay) Casey Dowling (long jump), Kirsten Follett (3000), Jasmin McCray (distance medley relay), Amber Menke (pole vault), Janna Mitsos (distance medley relay), Kendra Schaaf (5000), Mia Weaver (distance medley relay) and Shawna Winnegar (5000).

The eight all-conference nods for the Lobo women is the second-highest total indoors, three behind last year's haul of 11 selections.
