Feb. 27, 2012

The Mountain West announced its Men's and Women's Indoor Track & Field All-Conference Teams today. All-Conference selections are awarded to the top three finishers in each event at the MW Championships.

On Saturday, the Conference announced the Mountain West Men's and Women's Coaches of The Year, High Point and Outstanding Performance award recipients. This year's Conference Men's Coach of the Year award was presented to Air Force's Ralph Lindeman, who received his fifth career accolade as a men's coach. On the women's side, TCU's Darryl Anderson was honored with coach of the year accolades for the second time in his career.

Boise State senior Kurt Felix earned the MW Men's Outstanding Performance Award after securing his first heptathlon title with a 5, 703 points. Boise State senior Mele Vaisima received the league's Women's Outstanding Performance Award after winning the women's weight throw title with a mark of 69'-8.25" (21.24m).

Felix posted the most individual points (29.5) to garner MW Men's High Point award honors, after capturing the heptathlon title, earning second-place honors in the long jump, placing third in the triple jump and tying for third in the high jump. The women's award went to San Diego State's Allison Reaser, who racked up 27.7 points competing in three championship events.
