Eight CSU athletes earn all-Mountain West honors

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The Mountain West announced its men’s and women’s indoor track and field all-conference teams this week, with eight Rams qualifying. All-conference selections were awarded to the top three finishers in each event at last week’s conference championships held in Albuquerque, N.M.
- Trevor Brown – 60-meter hurdles
- Cate Brus – High jump
- Hannah Pensack-Rinehart – 5,000 meters
- Nicole Peters – 3,000 meters
- Distance medley – Alex Muntefering, Sam Lynass, Andrew Goodman and Alex Balsiger
Sophomore Trevor Brown successfully defended his 60-meter hurdles title, winning the finals of the race in 7.90 seconds. Brown set the MW championship record in the event the previous day, clocking in at 7.87 in the qualifying round.
In the women’s 5,000-meter run, Hannah Pensack-Rinehart won her first conference title, posting a time of 16:52.35 seconds.
Cate Brus earned a third-place finish in the high jump, clearing a season-high mark of 5 feet, 7.75 inches.
Nicole Peters took second in the 3,000-meter run, finishing in 9:49.97.
CSU’s distance medley team of Alex Muntefering, Sam Lynass, Andrew Goodman and Alex Balsiger also earned all-conference honors for its second-place finish, with a time of 10:01.43.
