SDSU T&F to Host 35th Annual Aztec Invitational

The San Diego State track and field team plays host to the 35th annual Sheraton Mission Valley Aztec Invitational this weekend. The three-day meet kicks off Thursday with the men's decathlon and the women's heptathlon at AzTrack on the SDSU Sports Deck.
Highlights of the meet include the decathlon and heptathlon on Thursday and Friday, the distance carnival on Friday night, the invitational and high school events on Saturday, the Aztec Alumni and Senior Recognition Ceremony on Saturday and the Men's Masters FLASH100 on Saturday. The FLASH100 will bring together the 18 fastest men in the world over the age of 40 for a 100-meter race that will determine the fastest American master's sprinter and possibly the world's fastest masters sprinter.
The hammer throw kicks things off on Friday at 8 a.m. PT on the campus of UC San Diego, while the long jump in the heptathlon begins things at AzTrack at 9 a.m. PT. The men's 3,000 meters closes the day at 8:30 p.m. PT. The women's invitational discus throw and the high school girl's shot put gets things underway on Saturday at 9 a.m. PT, while the meet closes with the men's invitational 4x400-meter relay at 4:25 p.m. PT.
