Track and field preview: Rams set to compete at CSU-Pueblo Open

FORT COLLINS, Colo.– One week after taking home nine first-place finishes at its first meet of the outdoor season, the Colorado State track and field team will look to continue its winning ways when it travels to Pueblo, Colo.,Friday to compete in the CSU-Pueblo Open.

The Rams enter the week with plenty of confidence after last week’s success. A total of nine individual CSU athletes and one relay team currently lead the Mountain West in their respective events: Seth Monson (400-meter dash), Trevor Brown (110-meter hurdles), Joe Marchand (3,000-meter steeplechase), Mitchel Solomon (high jump), Josh McMillin (pole vault), Carson Rowley (hammer), Matt Randall (javelin), Amy Medina (high jump), Meaghann Peak (triple jump) and CSU’s 400-meter relay team made up of Brown, Kelby Dias, Jeff Richmond, and Antoine Harrison.

CSU will look to build off of its earlyseason success this weekend.

Competition at the Neta and Eddie DeRose ThunderBowl begins Friday at2 p.m. MDT with the men’s javelin throw.
