IT'S A LITTLE BLUE AT THE TOP
At the midway point of the season, Air Force is dominating the top of the Mountain West's 8K standings, accounting four of the conference's six fastest times. BRAGG NAMED MOUNTAIN WEST RUNNER OF THE WEEK
After clocking the fastest time in the conference this season at the Rim Rock Classic, Isaiah Bragg was named the Mountain West Runner of the Week on Oct. 2. The junior clocked a career-best 8K time of 24:12.8 to finish 10th among 159 runners in Kansas on Sept. 29, while pacing Air Force to a third-place finish in the team standings.
BREMSER CLAIMS ACADEMY WEEKLY AWARD

The men moved from sixth to fifth in the USTFCCCA Regional Rankings (mountain region), while the women, who started the season in 12th, remained in seventh for the third straight week.
MAKING A STATEMENT

The men tallied 81 points to finish third behind host Kansas and 11th-ranked Indiana, while the women scored 128 points to take fourth behind a pair of nationally ranked teams in Michigan (11th) and Toledo (22nd).
MEN FINISH NEAR TOP OF RIM ROCK FIELD
Backed by Isaiah Bragg's 10th-place finish, the men placed all five scoring runners in the top 25 of the 159-runner race at Kansas. Andrew Quallio finished 12th with a personal improvement of over one minute, while Matt Bell and Jeremy Drenckhahn placed 17th and 19th, respectively, and Elliot Myers rounded out the scoring runners with a 23rd-place finish.

BUT WAIT, THERE'S MORE
Four members of the women's team also ran at the Rocky Mountain Shootout, but did not factor into the meet's Division I scores due to the small squad size. Annette Eichenberger paced the quartet with a 19th-place finish in the 167-runner event, while Adrianna Dong placed 27th. Marie Rossillon and Emily Wagemaker finished 63rd and 70th, respectively, to round out the group.
Air Force returns to action next Saturday (Oct. 13), when it travels to Louisville, Ky., to face the country's elite at the annual Pre-Nationals. The meet will be held at E.P. "Tom" Sawyer State Park, site of the 2012 NCAA Cross Country Championships.
