Rebels Lose Heartbreaker To Aztecs

SAN DIEGO, Calif. (UNLVRebels.com) -- UNLV baseball (17-7, 2-4) lost a heart breaker in the series finale against San Diego State (12-12, 4-2) on Sunday, as the Aztecs rallied for a 5-4 win over the Rebels.
UNLV held a 4-3 lead heading into the bottom of the ninth, but SDSU rallied, scoring two in the final frame. The Aztecs won in walk-off fashion when Jake Romanski was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded.
UNLV took a 1-0 lead in the third inning, but SDSU battled back and led 2-1 after the fourth. The Rebels used a three-run sixth to take a 4-2 lead. The Aztecs scored one in the bottom of the seventh before their ninth inning rally.
UNLV's Brady Zuniga (1-1) took the loss after coming in for relief in the seventh inning. He pitched 2.0 innings and allowed two runs on one hit while walking three.
