Rebels Set For Four-Game Roadtrip

- The UNLV baseball team will look to regroup on the road this week, embarking on a four-game roadtrip that kicks off with a midweek game at Pac-12 power Arizona State on Wednesday night.

The Rebels will meet the Sun Devils for the 70th time in series history Wednesday night and look to put the brakes on a three-game losing streak. Following Wednesday's game in Tempe, UNLV will travel to Colorado Springs, Colo. for a weekend series at Mountain West rival Air Force.

The series will mark the first conference weekend of the year for the Falcons while UNLV will play its first weekend conference road series of the year.

  Following a 13-game home stand in which the Rebels posted a 7-6 record, UNLV will hit the road again, playing the next seven of eight games away from Wilson Stadium.
  The Rebels will travel to Tempe, Ariz. this week for a Wednesday night game at Arizona State, reviving a rivalry that dates back to the 1974 season.
  UNLV will then fly straight Colorado Springs to prepare for its second Mountain West weekend with a three-game set against Air Force. The series will mark the first of the season for the Falcons and first away from home for UNLV following an 0-3 mark against TCU at home last weekend.

  After winning eight of their first nine games, the Sun Devils enter Wednesday night’s contest having dropped three of the last four, including two out of three in Los Angeles against Pac-12 rival UCLA.
  ASU is led by a pair of .400 hitters in Joey DeMichele (.408, 29-for-71) and Trever Allen (.400, 24-for-60). DiMichele leads the team in triples (4) and RBI (24) and is second in home runs (3) and walks drawn (10) in 19 games started this season. Allen has started 14 games and played in 17, posting three doubles, two home runs and 16 RBI to his name.

  Arizona State and UNLV will meet for the 70th time in series history and first since June of 2003 come Wednesday night in Tempe.
  ASU holds a 54-14-1 mark against the Rebels and has won 23 of the last 25 and 17 straight in Tempe.
  UNLV was an 11-7 winner in the last regular season matchup on April 1, 2002. The two teams meet most recently in the postseason at the 2003 NCAA Tempe Regional, with Arizona State winning by a 16-1 count.

  UNLV and Air Force will square up for the 93rd time in series history come Friday night.
  The Rebels and Falcons have played every year since the 1998 season. UNLV has taken 37 of the last 42 games played, including a 27-game winning streak from March 14, 2003 through May 19, 2007..
