#DiamondDogs Start Eight-Game Road Trip at Pacific
March 19, 2013
STOCKTON, Calif. --- The Fresno State baseball team will play its first of an eight-game road stretch when the Bulldogs visit the Pacific Tigers on Tuesday night at 6 p.m. PT in the 120th all-time meeting between the schools after a 10-year lay-off in the series.
Fresno State (4-14) played 10 of its first 18 games this season at home with the eight road games at Stanford, Cal and CSU Bakersfield.
The Bulldogs will now play tonight at Pacific (6-12), followed by a three-game series at Air Force this coming weekend. Fresno State will then head straight to Sacramento for a March 26 meeting with the Hornets at Raley Field - home to the AAA Sacramento River Cats - and conclude the stretch with a rare Thursday-Saturday three-game set in Reno against the Nevada Wolf Pack.
On the hill, five Fresno State pitchers have tossed more than 10 innings this season, including William Munro's team-high 29.1 innings to go along with a 2.45 earned run average by the sophomore right-hander.
The Bulldogs have earned two of the Mountain West's first five pitchers of the week this season - with sophomore Derick Velazquez (March 4) and junior Tyler Linehan (March 18) taking home those league honors.
The first five games of the road trip will not be carried on the radio, so be sure to view the action on Gametracker at www.gobulldogs.com and follow @FSAthletics on Twitter for in-game updates.
The entire series at Nevada (March 28-30) will air live on 940 AM ESPN Radio and online at www.gobulldogs.com/allaccess.
