'Dogs Earn All-Star Nods in Summer Leagues

FRESNO, Calif. ---The Fresno State baseball team has been well represented this summer with four Bulldogs being named to their respective summer league All Star teams.

Catcher Daniel Delaney is a member of the Crystal Lake Cardinals and was named to the Metropolitan Collegiate Baseball League of Illinois All-Star team. Delaney is batting .267 with two homeruns and 16 RBI.

His Bulldog teammate Shota Runge also plays for the Crystal Lake Cardinals. He was named to the Chicago Suburban Baseball League of Illinois All-Star team and is batting .278 with 27 hits and nine RBI.

Meanwhile, two other 'Dogs - Jordan Brink and Jordan Luplow - play in in the Alaska Baseball League and were both named to the Alaska Baseball League All-Star team.

Brink plays on the Anchorage Bucs and is batting .299 while playing as an outfielder.

Luplow is an outfielder for the Anchorage Glacier Pilots. He is batting .318 and is tied for fifth in the Alaska Baseball League in RBI with 23.

Fresno State will play its first season as a member of the Mountain West next season and host the school's first MW Tournament from May 22-26, 2013 at Beiden Field.
