Blue Leads Nevada Baseball World Series 8-1

The Blue squad scored a 2-0 victory on Wednesday and after 1-1 tie Thursday leads the Nevada baseball Blue and Silver World Series 8-1.  Points are awarded for victories and performance in each inning to arrive at total team points.

Sophomore Kewby Meyer went 2-for-3 with an RBI on Thursday for the Blue squad.  Junior Ray McIntire collected two hits and scored the only run for the Blue team.

Tommy Niebergall collected a pair of hits for the Silver team.  Brad Gerig singled and scored the tying run in the fifth inning for the Silver squad.

Tyler Wells made the start for the Silver team and Michael Bradshaw earned the start for the Blue squad.

The third game of the series is scheduled for 9 a.m. on Friday at Peccole Park.  The series is free and open to the public.  Games four and five will be Monday and Tuesday.
