Game Notes
• SDSU held UNLV to 40.9 percent shooting from the field, which makes it 41 straight games an Aztec opponent has failed to shoot 50 percent from the floor.

• SDSU outrebounded UNLV, 37-35, marking the 17th time this season the Aztecs have outrebounded their opponent.

• The last three games between SDSU and UNLV have been decided by two points. The last eight meetings have been decided by 10 points or fewer.

• With the loss, the Aztecs have still won six of the last seven encounters with UNLV.

Tapley posted his eighth career 20-point effort and his seventh of the season... His 22-point effort is his best since scoring 24 vs. Chicago State... The junior has scored in double figures a career-high 18 straight games, 22 times this season and 49 times in his career... Connected on four three-point field goals, which is his most since knocking down eight at Baylor... Made nine field goals, his second-highest figure of the season... Tapley has made 10 field goals three previous times this season.

Jamaal Franklin (15 points, team-high 8 rebounds)
The sophomore reached double figures for a career-high 12th straight game, 20th time this season and the 21st time in his career...Led the team in rebounding for the 11th time this season and of his career... He has led the team in rebounding six straight games.

Xavier Thames (8 points, 6 rebounds, game-high 8 assists)
Thames recorded eight assists, his most since dishing a career-high 11 at San Diego... His assist performance was his third of the season with at least eight... Led the team in assists for the 17th time this season... Grabbed six rebounds, his second-highest figure of the season... He also grabbed six vs. UC Riverside.

Tim Shelton (5 points, 7 rebounds)
Grabbed seven rebounds, his second-highest total of the season... He has collected at least seven rebounds in three of the last four games.
