CARBONDALE, Illinois - The Fresno State men's basketball team erased a 12-point second half deficit and then squandered the lead in the final minute to lose at Southern Illinois 57-54 on Wednesday night at SIU Arena.

Southern Illinois' Desmar Jackson scored the final three of a game-high 25 points when he hit the game-winning off-balance 3-pointer with 11.7 seconds to play and lift the Salukis to 4-1 on the season.

The Bulldogs' junior point guard Allen Huddleston netted a team-best 12 points and freshman Marvelle Harris posted 11 points in the contest that was part of the Mountain West-Missouri Valley Challenge.

Fresno State (3-3) concludes its two-game road stretch by heading down to play at Long Beach State on Monday night at 7 p.m. PT.
