No. 17/17 San Diego State Opens Two-Game Homestand With Boise State

*After suffering its first loss in 59 days, San Diego State returns home to conclude the first half of Mountain West Conference play with a pair of home games, beginning on Wednesday against Boise State.

* San Diego State has won its last 10 games following a loss and has not suffered back-to-back defeats since
January, 2010. The Aztecs have gone 76 games without suffering consecutive losses, which is the fifth
longest stretch nationally, trailing Kansas, Duke, Temple and Ohio State.

* Despite Saturday's loss, San Diego State is 15-2 in its last 17 games and owns the nation's second highest
winning percentage (52-5, 91.2 percent) since the beginning of the 2010-11 season, trailing only Ohio State.

* San Diego State has won eight straight home games, tied for the 15th longest streak in the 91 seasons of
Aztec Basketball. The Aztecs are 57-4 in their last 61 home games and have won 21 straight home games
against the current configuration of the Mountain West, dating back to Feb. 13, 2008.

* San Diego State has won 42 straight home games against teams not ranked in the coaches' poll.

* The Aztecs have gone 38 consecutive games without allowing an opponent to shoot 50 percent or better
from the field, a streak that dates back to last season. In five conference games, SDSU opponents are shooting
37,7 percent from the field.

* Junior Chase Tapley leads the league in both scoring (16.1) and steals (2.10). Tapley has already surpased
his scoring total from both his freshman and sophomore campaigns. He has reached double figures in a career-
high 15 straight games.

* Sophomore Jamaal Franklin leads the conference in scoring in league games (17.2). He has made multiple
three-point field goals in four straight games and reached double figures a career-high nine straight games.

* San Diego State, the defending Mountain West regular-season co-champions and two-time defending tournament
champs is tied for first with a 4-1 league record. That is despite playing three of its first five conference
games on the road, including playing on the road at three of the other four MW teams above .500 in conference

The Boise State Game
* San Diego State and Mountain West newcomer
Boise State are meeting for the first time in the
MW era and for just the second-time ever.

* SDSU and Boise State have met just once before
and that was back on Dec. 16, 1976. The Aztecs
won that match-up, 78-68, inside Peterson Gym.

* The Aztecs have bounced back with a victory
following both of its losses this season. The last
time SDSU lost two in a row occurred in 2009-10
when it dropped games at Wyoming on Jan. 9,
2010, and at UNLV on Jan. 13, 2010. Since the
back-end of that two-game losing streak, 75
games have passed without the Aztecs dropping
two in a row.

Tim Shelton defends guard Dorian Green in San Diego State's 77-60 loss at Colorado State on Saturday.
