CSU's Dorian Green Earns Capital One Academic All-District Honor

Jan. 31, 2013

FORT COLLINS, Colo. - Colorado State senior guard Dorian Green, a four-year starter and 1,000-point scorer for the Rams, was selected Thursday to the Capital One Academic All-District 7 first-team. Green is the lone Mountain West student-athlete to receive academic all-district honors.

Green, who carries a 3.35 cumulative grade-point average in Health & Exercise Science, has helped lead the Rams to a 17-4 record (4-2 MW) entering Saturday's showdown with rival Wyoming in the first leg of the annual "Border War."

He ranks second on the team in scoring at 12.6 points per game, and has poured in nearly 1,300 points in his career at CSU, and leads the team in assists (80) minutes per game (32.5), while ranking second on the squad with 30 three-pointers and 21 steals on the year.

Green has started every game of his collegiate career - a streak that now stands at 117 games - and is on pace to finish his career at Colorado State as the Rams' all-time leader games played. He already ranks among the Rams' top-10 scorers of all time, sitting in ninth with 1,286 points. Green is also ninth in the CSU record book with 329 career assists, while his 174-career three-pointers rank third on the CSU charts.

As a first-team academic all-district honoree, Green will now be considered for Capital One Academic All-America honors. A first-, second-, and third-team will be selected in February.
