Purchase GameTicket/T-Shirt Package

The University of Wyoming Athletic Department and the Cowboy basketball program are proud to sponsor the first-annual "Cowboys vs. Cancer" game on Saturday, February 25 in the Arena-Auditorium. The game will be a "white-out," as fans are encouraged to wear white to the game. The Cowboys host Mountain West foe Boise State at 2:00 p.m. that day.

The event will be held to help create awareness for cancer research, as well as raise money for The V Foundation for Cancer Research. The V Foundation, created by legendary North Carolina State University basketball coach Jim Valvano and ESPN, is dedicated to saving lives by helping find a cure for cancer. 100 percent of donations to The V Foundation go directly to cancer research.

The event encourages fans to show support by wearing white to the game. Fans can purchase special "Cowboys vs. Cancer" t-shirts for $15, with $10 of the purchase price going directly to The V Foundation. T-Shirts can be purchased at the Brown and Gold Outlet or at prior to the game. Additionally, fans can purchase a special package that pairs a game ticket and t-shirt for $25, saving fans $6 on the cost of their game ticket.

Cancer is a group of diseases characterized by uncontrolled growth and spread of abnormal cells. Cancer is the second-leading cause of death in the United States. One in every two men and one in every three women will get cancer in their lifetimes. The V Foundation has raised over $120 million, used to fund more than 400 cancer research grants nationwide.
