The fifth-most ever by an Air Force player in one game and the most since Bob Beckel scored a school-record 50 against Arizona on Feb. 28, 1959.
The most ever by an Air Force player not named Bob Beckel (Beckel owns the top four point totals)

The third-highest point total in a Division I game this season
The fifth-most points in one game by a Mountain West player
The third-most points in a Mountain West regular-season game
Lyons' 17 made field goals were one shy of the school record (18 by Bob Beckel vs. Colorado School of Mines on Dec. 15, 1956)
Lyons' 17 made field goals were the second-most ever by a Mountain West player (Jimmer Fredette - 22) and the most in a Mountain West regular-season game
Lyons Named Mountain West Player of the Week
For his efforts, Michael Lyons was named the Mountain West Men's Basketball Player of the Week. This is the second time in his career Lyons has won the award. In addition to his career-high 45 points against CSU, he scored a game-high 27 points and tied his season-high with four assists vs. UNLV.
