FORT COLLINS, Colo. – The Associated Students of Colorado State University (ASCSU), in conjunction with CSU Athletics,  announced Tuesday that it will host a “Men’s Basketball Tailgate Party” at the Durrell Center, across the street from Moby Arena, to lead up to the Rams’ big conference matchup against No. 17/17 UNLV at 8 p.m. Wednesday night.

The tailgate event, which is slated to begin at 5:30 p.m. and will run until doors open at Moby at 7 p.m., is free to all fans and will feature numerous games, body painting (for true Moby Maniacs) and giveaways, including Frontier Airlines gift cards and CSU rally towels, plus a live radio remote from 96.1 KISS FM.

In addition, free food and soft drinks will be provided for CSU students in attendance at the tailgate party.

Wednesday night’s matchup pits the Rams against conference co-leader UNLV.  The Rams, riding a 12-game home win streak, are looking to knock off their third ranked opponent at Moby Arena this season, and solidify the team’s chances of representing CSU in the NCAA tournament for the first time since 2003.

Tipoff is officially set for 8:15 p.m. MT and the Rams will honor guard Kaipo Sabas, forward Will Bell and manager Nick Petersohn, during a pre-game “Senior Night” ceremony, beginning at approximately 7:50 p.m.

Student tickets are free to all full-fees-paying students with a valid ID card, and distribution will begin at 7 p.m. MT at the northeast student entrance to Moby Arena.
