FORT WORTH—The TCU men’s basketball team will travel to Corvallis, Ore., to face Oregon State Monday in the quarterfinal round of the 2012 College Basketball Invitational presented by Zebra Pen. Tip-off for the contest at the Beavers’ Gill Coliseum has been set for 9 p.m. CDT, and the game will be televised live by HDNet.

The Horned Frogs advanced to the quarterfinal round Tuesday with an 83-73 home victory over Milwaukee. TCU is 18-14 overall this season, the program’s best record since it last appeared in the postseason during the 2005 National Invitation Tournament.

Oregon State defeated Western Illinois on Wednesday, 80-59, to reach the quarterfinals. The Beavers, who own a 20-14 overall record and tied for eighth place in the Pac 12 Conference with a 7-11 league record, are one of the nation’s top-scoring teams, averaging nearly 80 points per game. The 20 victories mark the most for the program since 1990, when former NBA star Gary Payton played for the Beavers.

Following the quarterfinal round, the tournament will be re-bracketed for semifinal round action on Wednesday, March 21. The semifinal winners will then advance to the best-of-three Championship Series, which begins on Monday, March 26.

Monday night’s contest will be televised live by HDNet, which is available in the U.S. on AT&T U-verse, Charter, Comcast, DIRECTV, DISH Network, Insight, Suddenlink and Verizon FiOs.
