FRESNO, Calif. - The Fresno State men's and women's basketball programs are set to showcase its teams inside the Save Mart Center on Tuesday night when Fresno State hosts its annual Red & White Hoops Night. The event is free to the public.

Doors at the Save Mart Center open at 6 p.m. and the festivities begin at 6:30.

"Our guys have been working hard in practice and are looking forward to playing in front of the Red Wave on Tuesday night," head men's basketball coach Rodney Terry said. "We take great pride in representing our community. Events like Red and White Hoops give us a great chance to meet our fans and show them how we have been getting ready for our first season in the Mountain West. It'll be a fun night at the Save Mart Center!"

Fans will be introduced to the 2012-13 Bulldogs under Terry, now in his second season at the helm of the men's program, and first-year women's head coach Raegan Pebley's team.

Voice of the Bulldogs Paul Loeffler is serving as the MC for the event.

"I think it is a great opportunity for both the men's and women's basketball teams to share the synergy that Fresno State has with the fans and the fans have with the players," Pebley said. "This will give the fans an opportunity to preview both teams in a fun atmosphere at the Save Mart Center."

After the players are introduced to the fans, both the men's and women's teams will hold brief scrimmages.

Following the team play on the court, there will be a 3-point shooting contest, a dunk contest and a Superstar 'Dogs Shooting Challenge that will feature Fresno State alumni, who will also serve as celebrity judges for the dunk contest.
