• This is the sixth meeting between Fresno State and Fresno Pacific in men's basketball. Fresno State leads the exhibition series, 5-0.

Season and Single Game Non-Conference Tickets on Sale
Fresno State men's basketball season tickets are only available through the Bulldog Foundation, and the $149 price for the lower bowl seats equals less than $10 per game. To purchase season tickets, please call the BDF at 559-278-7160. Single-game non-conference tickets can be bought through Ticketmaster and the Save Mart Center Box Office. The non-conference single game tickets start at $17 for adults and $9 for youth, except for the exhibition against Fresno Pacific, San Diego Christian, and Sonoma State, which are priced at $7 for adults and $5 for youth (ages 2-12).

Fresno State Opens Regular Season at Texas
In its first of six games against teams ranked in the preseason USA Today/ESPN Coaches poll, Fresno State will travel to Austin to play the 24th-ranked Texas Longhorns on Friday, Nov. 9. The contest will tip off at 5 p.m. PT and be broadcast on ESPN's Longhorn Network (LHN), which can viewed in the San Joaquin Valley only on AT&T U-verse (Ch. 609).

Bulldogs Begin Mountain West EraB Fresno State is in its first season as a member of the Mountain West, which produced four NCAA Tournament teams last year. The MW features two teams ranked in the preseason AP and USA Today/ESPN Coaches polls (No. 18/19 UNLV and No. 20/20 San Diego State) as well as two schools receiving votes in the national polls (New Mexico and Colorado State). The MW ranked as the best in the West and fifth-best in the nation for the 2011-12 season, according to the NCAA Ratings Performance Index.

Fresno State Picked to Finish 7th in MW
Fresno State was projected to finish seventh out of nine Mountain West schools, as selected by a voting panel comprised of Conference media, during preseason voting. Defending MW co-regular season champion San Diego State edged UNLV as the Conference media's preseason favorite to win the MW men's basketball regular-season title in 2012-13.

CSM Names Two 'Dogs to Preseason All-MW Teams
College Sports Madness.com named Fresno State juniors Kevin Olekaibe (second-team) and Jerry Brown (fourth-team). This is the second time that the two juniors have received conference recognition by CSM. Last season, Olekaibe averaged a team-best 17.8 ppg and Brown led the team in rebounding (5.5 rpg) and blocked shots (27), while averaging 8.8 ppg.

About the Fresno Pacific Sunbirds (NCAA Division II) Fresno Pacific is in its first season transitioning to NCAA Division II after being a part of the NAIA. The Sunbirds return their leading blocker Antonio Credit (34 blocks) from a year ago. FPU is expected to debut John Taylor, the 2011-12 National Junior College Player of the Year (24.9 ppg). In addition to Taylor, Malcolm Griffin joins FPU from Toledo where he led the team in scoring, assists and steals in the 2010-2011 season.
