Regular Season Opens Monday

LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) -

After surviving a scare in its lone exhibition game of the 2012-13 season, the No. 18/19 UNLV men's basketball team will open the regular season on Monday, Nov. 12, against Northern Arizona at 7 p.m. at the Thomas & Mack Center. The game is part of the preliminary rounds of the Global Sports Classic.

Approximately 500 tickets for Monday's game remain available for purchase by the public. Tickets to Opening Night start as low as $15 when purchased in advance of the day of the game. All UNLV students at Monday's game will receive a free Rebellion t-shirt, courtesy of Terrible Herbst.

There will be no TV for the season opener, however it will be video streamed online. Jon Sandler and Robert Smith will handle the radio call, which may be heard live in Las Vegas on ESPN Radio 1100 AM/98.9 FM. The video stream and the UNLV radio broadcast will also be available at UNLVRebels.com through the subscription-based All-Access feature, while Gametracker is provided for free on the website. The Runnin' Rebels defeated Dixie State, 81-80 in overtime, on Wednesday, in their exhibition contest.
