Mountain West Names Men's Basketball Player of the Week

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Colorado State senior center Colton Iverson has been named the Mountain West Men's Basketball Player of the Week for games through November 25. This is the second MW weekly accolade of the season for Iverson.

Iverson posted back-to-back double-doubles while leading Colorado State to road wins at Denver and Washington last week. The Yankton, S.D., native opened with 16 points and 13 rebounds in the Rams' 60-53 victory at Denver on Wednesday. Iverson was 6-of-11 from the field and 4-of-5 from the free throw line against the Pioneers, pulling down four offensive rebounds and notching a pair of assists in the contest. He followed that performance three days later with 13 points and 12 rebounds in the Rams' 73-55 victory at Washington. Against the Huskies, Iverson shot 6-of-12 from the floor, and pulled down six of his 12 boards on the offensive glass while adding two assists. For the week, Iverson averaged 14.5 points, 12.5 rebounds and 2.0 assists per game while shooting 52.2 percent (12-of-32) from the field and 71.4 percent (5-of-7) from the charity stripe.
