FRESNO, Calif. --- With the Fresno State men's basketball team off to a fast start on the hardwood, Bulldog fans have two new options to experience the up-tempo and tenacious defense at the Save Mart Center by purchasing the Holiday Gift Package and Mountain West Debut mini-plans.
Both packages can be purchased by calling 559-278-DOGS (3647).
"We need the Red Wave to support us all season long," head coach Rodney Terry said. "We are going to be playing in hostile environments all year and a full Save Mart Center helps our guys as we compete for a championship."
The Holiday Gift Package starts as low as $35 and includes Fresno State's three games versus San Diego Christian (Dec. 6), UC Irvine (Dec. 15) and Sonoma State (Dec. 30), as well as the Bulldogs' Dec. 12 showdown versus No. 23 Colorado for free.
The $35 standard holiday gift package features lower bowl seats in Sections 101, 102, 103, 104, 105, 114, 115 and 118 while the $45 premier holiday gift package gives fans access to prime seat locations in either 108, 111, 121 or 124.
With Fresno State in its debut season in the Mountain West, the Mountain West Mini-Plan starts as low as $85 and includes the Bulldogs' five home games versus No. 25/25 San Diego State (Jan. 9), Wyoming (Jan. 16), Nevada (Jan. 19), Colorado State (Jan. 26) and New Mexico (Feb. 13), along with the Bulldogs' Feb. 6 game against No. 18/18 UNLV for free.
The $85 standard MW Mini-Plan features lower bowl seats in Sections 101, 102, 103, 104, 105, 114, 115 and 118 while the $99 premier MW Mini-Plan gives fans access to prime seat locations in either 108, 111, 121 or 124.
The only way to guarantee access to Mountain West contests is to purchase the MW Mini-Plan, as single-game tickets to these conference games are not currently on sale.
"We are thrilled about the opportunity to play in one of the most competitive conferences in the country," Terry said of the Mountain West. "It is a league that produces multiple NCAA bids, high draft picks and some of the toughest venues in college basketball."
In 2011-12, the Mountain West produced four NCAA Tournament teams, with all of those included in the MW Mini-Plan. The MW ranked as the best in the West and fifth-best in the nation for the 2011-12 season, according to the NCAA Ratings Performance Index.
This season, MW men's basketball combined to start the year a nation-best 27-3 (.900) in non-conference play.
"We're excited about the great home court atmosphere that our community and fans will create during conference games at the Save Mart Center," Terry said. "It's a great time to be a part of the Mountain West Conference, and we are well aware of the tradition and success that we are now a part of."
Both the Holiday Gift Package and Mountain West Mini-Plan went on sale at noon on Nov. 26.
