Against the Colorado Buffaloes
Colorado leads the all-time series 3-2 with Fresno State, but the Bulldogs have won the lone meeting in Fresno back during the 1973-74 season when the 'Dogs won 80-70 at Selland Arena. The teams last squared off last season in Boulder, when CU earned a 71-64 victory on Dec. 7, 2011.
Bulldogs Making Run through Pac-12 Opponents
In Terry's first two seasons, Fresno State will play a total of seven different Pac-12 opponents, including two at the Save Mart Center (Utah and Colorado). This year, the Bulldogs lost 59-50 at Washington State, host Colorado on Dec. 12 and visit UCLA on Dec. 22 at the new Pauley Pavilion. Last season, the Bulldogs played five games against Pac-12 teams and went 2-3 in those games with a 82-52 home win over Utah and a thrilling 68-65 comeback road victory at Arizona State.
'Dogs Defend Ground in Golden State Under Terry
For the second straight season, Fresno State is playing 19 of its regular season games in the state of California. Under Coach Terry, Fresno State is 16-8 when playing in the Golden State, including a 10-6 home record and 1-1 mark against Pac-12 opponents when playing in California.
Terry Turns Up the Pressure, Exploits Takeaways
The relentless defensive pressure that Terry expects from his squad has held opponents to just 40.6 percent shooting (174-of-429) from the field and 28.5 percent 3-point shooting (35-of-123). Fresno State has forced an average of 15.5 turnovers per game (140 total) and own a +40 points off turnover margin (144-104), as well as a +35 steal margin (73-38).
Bulldogs Focus on Defensive Tenacity
Fresno State has held opponents to an average of 56.2 points per game, which ranks second in the Mountain West behind Wyoming's 55.3 points allowed per game, as well as 19th in the nation. The 'Dogs have also not allowed an opponent to score more than 70 points in a game and limited opponents to under 60 points in six of their nine games.
Valuing the Basketball
One of Rodney Terry's points of emphasis is the importance of valuing the basketball. Since Terry's arrival, Fresno State has not committed more turnovers than its opponents in 38 of the 42 games, including 33 of those 42 games where the 'Dogs made fewer turnovers than its opponents.
Olekaibe Moving Up the Bulldogs' Record Books

Huddleston Provides Instant Scoring Presence
Redshirt junior point guard Allen Huddleston has provided a multi-dimensional scoring threat from the backcourt. Huddleston, who sat out last season as a Division I transfer form Pacific, has been one of the top 15 scorers in the Mountain West during non-conference play (12.2 ppg).
Newcomers Step Up in Fresno State Debuts
With Rodney Terry fielding his first full recruiting class with the addition of nine newcomers to the Bulldogs' roster, five of those nine have earned playing time - junior starting point guard Allen Huddleston and freshmen Aaron Anderson, Tanner Giddings, Marvelle Harris and Upshaw. Huddleston scored nine points, dished out three assists and grabbed three rebounds as Fresno State's starting point guard in its season-opening 55-53 loss at then-No. 24 Texas. In that game, Harris posted a team-best 11 points on 4-of-5 shooting from the floor, Giddings tallied four points, three blocks and an offensive board while Anderson picked up an assist. Upshaw made his debut with four points in the 76-67 win at Cal Poly.
