Six MW Football Student-Athletes Named to 2012 NFF Hampshire Honor Society

The Mountain West had six football student-athletes named to the 2012 Hampshire Honor Society, announced by the National Football Foundation and College Hall of Fame (NFF).

Air Force's A.J. Wallerstein, Boise State's Nate Potter, Colorado State's Jake Gdowski, San Diego State's Miles Burris, TCU's Spencer Thompson and Wyoming's Clayton Kirven all earned spots on the 2012 list of honorees. Six MW institutions had football student-athletes named to the 2012 class, marking the sixth consecutive year that at least six MW institutions have been represented.

The Hampshire Honor Society is comprised of student-athletes from all divisions of college football who maintained a 3.2 grade point average (GPA) or better throughout their college career. A total of 721 student-athletes from 232 institutions qualified for membership in the society's sixth year, making this year's class the largest since the program's creation in 2007.
