Foltz Nominated For Allstate AFCA Good Works Team

NORTHBROOK, Ill. -- TCU offensive guard Blaize Foltz has been nominated for the 2012 Allstate AFCA Good Works Team.

As one of college football's most prestigious off-the-field honors, the award recognizes a select group of college football players committed to making a difference in their communities.

Foltz, a first-team all-conference selection in 2011, appears on watch lists this season for the Outland Trophy and Rotary Lombardi Award.

A senior from Rose Hill, Kan., Foltz represents TCU in the Hope Community Service Program. He is also active with the Fellowship of Christian Athletes in addition to being a Bible study leader and DARE role model.

Foltz, a regular volunteer with youth in the community, serves on TCU's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee and is a member of the football program's Leadership Council.

Foltz is a communications major with a minor in social work.
