FORT COLLINS, Colo. – The Rams finished Monday’s two-a-day by practicing at Sonny Lubick Field at Hughes Stadium in the 70-degree weather, the third time they have done so in the last seven days.
With all six home games for the Rams starting at 5 p.m. it is important for the team to practice in conditions that will parallel a game-day atmosphere. The second of Monday’s two-a-days started with cloud cover and a small breeze but ended into the night with the lights shining down onto the field.
The team specifically worked on its footwork, performing certain drills specific to each position group. Throughout the practice, Shaq Bell displayed play-making ability in various drills.
The team will be back out on the practice field on Tuesday at 2:30 for a closed practice. However, the time is nearing for fans to get their first fall glimpse of the 2012 Rams on Friday, August 17th. The open practice will run from 7:30-9 p.m. at Sonny Lubick Field at Hughes Stadium. It will be a great opportunity for families to come out as players will be signing autographs following the practice. Early forecasts are predicting 80-degree weather.
