FORT COLLINS, Colo. – Colorado State Athletics announced Thursday that the CSU football official road-game watch parties will return to Taps Sports Bar and Grill in 2012, beginning this Saturday with the Cinch Jeans Rocky Mountain Showdown.
Rams fans unable to make it to the annual neutral-site rivalry game at Denver’s Sports Authority Field at Mile High, or any of the team’s five true road games, can catch all the action on the Taps’ big screen TVs throughout the restaurant, which is located at 165 Boardwalk Drive in Fort Collins.
Saturday’s watch party for the Rams-Buffs battle will begin just before kickoff, which is scheduled for 2 p.m. MT. Additional watch parties are schedule for Sept. 15 vs. San Jose State (6 p.m.), Sept. 29 vs. Air Force (12 p.m.), Oct. 13 vs. San Diego State (5 p.m.), Nov. 3 vs. Wyoming (2:30 p.m.) and Nov. 17 vs. Boise State (1:30 p.m.).
Not only will fans get to see every thrilling moment of the Rams’ road schedule, but Taps will donate 10 percent of the net revenue from all food and beverage sales to the Ram Club in support of CSU’s General Athletics Scholarship Fund.
In other words, fans who cheer on the Rams at Taps help fund student-athlete scholarships at the same time.
