OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
D.J. HARPER, BOISE STATE
Senior, Running Back, Cypress, Texas/Cypress Creek HS
Senior running back D.J. Harper rushed for 130 yards and a touchdown in Boise State's 27-21 win over Nevada. The Cypress, Texas, native averaged 5.4 yards per carry on 24 attempts, including a 30-yard run that set up Boise State's first touchdown of the game. Harper's touchdown was a two-yard run early in the second quarter that gave the Broncos a 14-0 lead.
DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
J.C. PERCY, BOISE STATE
Senior, Linebacker, Blackfoot, Idaho/Blackfoot HS
Senior linebacker J.C. Percy led a Boise State defense that held Nevada to its lowest point total of the season in the Broncos' 27-21 victory on Saturday. The Blackfoot, Idaho, product had a team-high 13 total tackles, including seven solo stops, and one fumble recovery. With Boise State holding a 24-7 lead midway through the third quarter, Percy recovered a fumble in the Broncos' end zone, halting a potential Nevada touchdown. Percy's defensive efforts helped Boise State shut out Nevada in the first half, marking the first time this season the Wolf Pack had not scored in the opening 30 minutes.
SPECIAL TEAMS PLAYER OF THE WEEK
TYLER HADDEN, Hawai`i
Sophomore, Kicker, Whittier, Calif./California HS
Hawai`i sophomore Tyler Hadden recorded a career-high three field goals, all in the first half, as the Warriors closed out the season with a 23-7 win over South Alabama. The Whittier, Calif., native connected on attempts from 40, 41 and 42 yards to become the first UH kicker with three field goals of 40 yards or longer in a game since Jason Elam accomplished the feat vs. UTEP in 1991. Hadden also averaged 63.0 yards on six kickoffs with one touchback.
