FRESNO, Calif.-- Senior Jack Mulroy led the Bulldogs in their first 2012-13 spring season tournament and finished in a tie for second place.

Mulroy shot 75 in the final round of the 68-player tournament, totaling his score to 216 (68-73-75).

"I am very proud of Jack," head coach Mike Watney said. "He responded well in the biggest pressure situation of his golf career. His birdie on the 17th hole was one of the best birdies in Fresno State history. He came up one-stroke short, but at the moment it was clutch."

Bulldogs Troix Tonkham and Rufie Fessler placed in the top 25. Tonkham (70-81-76--227) shot 11 over par and finished in a tie for 22nd place. Fessler (74-77-77--228) shot 12 over par and finished in 24th place.

The two-day Farms Collegiate Invitational is held on the 6,947-yard, par-72 course at The Farms Golf Club in Rancho Santa Fe, Calif. where the Bulldogs placed 6th out of twelve teams.

The 'Dogs fell short of their day one fourth place finish and shot 309 totaling their score to 906 (288-309-309).

The Bulldogs return to action on Feb. 18-20 for The Prestige at PGA West in La Quinta, Calif.
